Over the past several years, host and producer Darley Newman has been capturing her global adventures using immersive 360 video, including plunging from the world's highest commercial bungee in China, swimming with sharks in Dubai, skiing with Olympian Jonny Moseley in Tahoe and beyond. Now, viewers can experience adventures on and off a European river cruise in Darley's newest 360 series, recently filmed on Uniworld's S.S. Antoinette Castles along the Rhine river cruise.
Step inside Doktorenhof Estate with Georg Weidman. His family makes vinegar using fine wines, herbs, fruit, and a century-old bacteria. Darley and Georg walk among 80 to 120-year-old oak barrels where vinegars are aged for 1 to 15 years.
Tour Uniworld's first Super Ship, the S.S. Antoinette in 360. Darley enlists Daniela Purdea to guide her past the stunning Strauss Baccarat chandelier, once in New York City's famous Tavern on the Green, and priceless works of art. The two visit a suite complete with works by Picasso, ending the tour by the pool, complimented by castle views.
The S.S. Antoinette sails along the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Switzerland and back. Darley and her Emmy Award-winning crew filmed for these 360 videos, as well as a PBS episode and a series of short videos for Verizon Digital and their 2,000 partner sites. The episode and video series feature food, festivals, culture and adventures in Strasbourg, Kaysersberg, Koblenz and more.
